Make up and jewellery are not permitted (except stud earrings which the child must be able to remove independently for PE lessons and other physical activities). Children may wear a watch to school and this is encouraged to support learning, again, the child must be able to remove a watch independently for PE lessons and other physical activities.
Should a child attend with make up or jewellery they will be asked to remove them immediately.
Extreme hairstyles are not appropriate for school. The use of styling products should be kept to a minimum and children should not have decorative patterns or ‘tram lines’ cut into their hair or have their hair coloured or dyed. For health and safety reasons and to ensure it does not distract from learning, we advise that long hair be tied back.
Thank you for your support by sending your child to school with the correct uniform and clothing.

About Kitted Out
Founder and owner of Kitted Out Schoolwear Ltd, Fiona McMath started her career in the early 1990s as a Liverpool Secondary School PE teacher. After eight years of teaching she realised there was a lack of top quality, colour co-ordinated, uniformed PE kits available in the area and she set about developing a range of bespoke kits befitting the high standards of physical education within the city region.
In 1996 Kitted Out was established and Fiona managed to secure a handful of prominent schools within Liverpool to give her the chance to supply their school PE kits. The first schools to come on board were Archbishop Blanch, Archbishop Beck and Calderstones and as the business grew, other schools such as St Margaret’s High School, Anfield (now NLA), and Broadgreen were quick to source Kitted Out as their preferred supplier of kits. With the growing success of the PE kits, Fiona realised that her shop should become a one stop shopping experience and so introduced school uniforms in addition to the PE Kits.
Kitted Out opened its first shop on London Road, Liverpool in 1997 and the business continued to grow. The service provided was in demand from schools and parents alike as the shop offered the full range of uniform and PE kit to all school sectors, both primary and secondary. In addition, Kitted Out began its in-house embroidery service which facilitated a quicker turnaround of garments, particularly in the primary sector. As the business grew, Fiona opened a second shop on Aigburth Road, Liverpool to service the South Liverpool Schools.
By 2006, a number of Sefton Schools were being supplied with their uniform and PE kit by Kitted Out and so Fiona opened a further branch in South Road, Crosby specifically to improve accessibility of uniforms for parent customers in this region. In 2016 this branch moved to premises in St Johns Road, Crosby and with a new, fresh look to the shop, continues to provide a fantastic service to the local community. Kitted Out has long established relationships with the schools it supplies as well as its own suppliers and continues to strive for accessibility, affordability, and the highest standard of customer service for all. In June 2017, we opened a new branch in South Liverpool on Aigburth Road, where again we are providing a modern store which parents and pupils alike are happy to visit for their school uniform purchases.
Moving forward Kitted Out has introduced this fully integrated website to assist parents and schools to access, pre-order and purchase uniforms and PE kits online and in 2017, we are celebrating 21 years in business. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all schools, parents, pupils and suppliers for their support over the years and we sincerely appreciate your custom and look forward to serving you in our shops or online in the future.
