Welcome to Mrs Cook and Mr Hodgson's class webpage. Below you will find all the information you need regarding your child's journey through Year 4.

Snacks and Water Bottles
Please ensure your child comes to school with a water bottle labelled with their name. Also, if your child wishes to have a snack during break times, it must be one of the following items:
· Toast
· Fruit
· Plain biscuit
Plantation Planners
Please ensure your child brings their planner to and from school every day.
They will need it to record reading, to record accelerated reader quiz scores and to access usernames and passwords for educational websites.
An adult in our team will check planners every Friday. We will be looking to see if your child has recorded at least four reading entries throughout the week and for a parent/carer signature.
If you write a message in your child's planner, please remind them to show it to one of the class team of adults.
Homework
Children will be expected to complete their reading, as mentioned above and also regularly access TTRockstars, which a view to learning all of their times tables for the Year Four Multiplication Check at the end of the year.
Timetable

PE
· Indoor PE – Thursdays
· Outdoor PE – Fridays
On days where your child has a PE lesson, they should attend school in their kit for the full day. The correct PE kit MUST be worn. If the person leading the PE lesson deems that your child’s kit is not appropriate, they will be asked to sit out and may miss some or all of the session.
PE kit is:
Plain white t-shirt or polo shirt
Plain black shorts
Black tracksuit top and bottoms, black leggings may also be worn
Trainers or pumps
Other sports kits, such as football strips, are not appropriate and must not be worn.
Watches and jewelry must be removed for PE. Long hair must be tied back.
Parents/carers will be notified via the School Planner should they not be in kit regularly (twice in succession).

Spelling
Below is a list of all the Year 3 and 4 spellings. Children can play the spelling games and activities we do in school.
Visit (or click the link) https://www.spellingtraining.com to access free online games. Simply insert 10 words from the Year 3/4 spelling words and play games such as hangman, flash card, word searches and much more.
French:
Duolingo is a good resource to keep practising French skills. It is a free resource; please CLICK HERE for help tips on how to use it.
Follow this link to access a resource to further practise some French topic skills. There are stories for the children to read/listen to.
