Milly the Dog
You may have already read our Tweet about Milly the Dog @PlantationPS. Milly is visiting our school today and for a few more visits before the Christmas holidays to see if she settles in at Plantation. Our aim is for Milly to visit regularly on Fridays to help Mr Hanley and Mr Boulton with listening to our children read.
Milly's visits to school have been fully risk assessed and measures put in place to ensure it is a happy visit for her and for the children. She is Mr Hanley's own dog and all vet checks, vaccinations and other general health care issues are accounted for.
As part of Milly's trial period her visits will be discussed and agreed with the governing body and regular checks made to esnure a safe environment is maintained for Milly, staff and pupils.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT WE STILL OPERATE A POLICY OF NO DOGS ON SCHOOL GROUNDS. MILLY IS ONLY ALLOWED ON SITE DUE TO THE MEASURES OULTINED ABOVE.
We hope Milly will settle in well to school life and that our children will enjoy her visits to school.
