Mental Health Week
Mental Health Awareness Week – 15th to 19th May
It is mental health awareness week and we are marking the occasion with a spotlight on the practices, support and work we provide to support mental health on a day-to-day basis.
All staff have been undertaking training on various aspects of mental health throughout the year and most recently Mrs Corness has delivered training to staff on mindfulness and mindful breathing techniques.
We have emailed a booklet of ideas to all parents/carers that you could use at home and match the activities we use on a regular basis in school.
Whilst this week provides a focus on this topic, it is important to remember that this is not something we do as part of a one-off themed week; it is more important than that and is a crucial part of the support, development and learning we provide every day.
I hope you find the resource sent out useful and if you would like to discuss the resource or discuss how you can support your child further, please contact our Blossom Suite team of staff via the School Office.
