Bringing Your Writing to Life
Thursday 27th October, 9.30 – 11.30
at
Plantation Primary School
Dear parent/carer
Plantation Primary School is offering an opportunity for parents/carers of children from Y5 and Y6 to take part in a writing workshop with their children.
In the workshop, we will be experimenting with different ways to bring our writing to life, such as using more vivid descriptions to create atmosphere and images for the reader and trying out different types of sentences to give variety and pace to our writing.
The workshop will be friendly, informal, supportive and (hopefully!) fun. Parents/carers and children will be working together, sharing ideas and trying out writing techniques.
It doesn’t matter how good your spelling, handwriting or grammar is – all you need is enthusiasm, imagination and to be willing to have a go.
The workshop will be held at Plantation School. We will start at 9.30 and finish around 11:30, with a short break in between. You are welcome to bring a snack and a drink with you on the day.
If you would like to book a place on the workshop for yourself and your child, please complete the slip below and return it to the school office.
Please note - You do have to book on to attend this workshop. Places are limited and will be allocated on a ‘first-come-first-served’ basis. All children must be accompanied by a parent / carer.
