09.01.17 - Y5/6 Basketball Competition - written by Mr Hodgson
Date: 10th Jan 2017 @ 8:28am
On Monday 9th January, Year 5 and 6 children attended the Knowsley Basketball Tournament. After a strong showing in the group stages (two wins, one draw and one loss) we made it to the knockout stages. The semi final was a derby encounter; with Plantation and Halewood CofE going head-to-head. There was very little to separate the two teams in a end-to-end, high speed game. With fewer than 20 seconds left on the clock, Halewood broke free and scored the first and only basket of the game. Everyone involved played brilliantly and represent Plantation magnificently. Well done everyone involved.
We would like to thank Mr Hodgson for volunteering his time to attend the competition with the children.
