Plantation achieves Silver and Gold Awards from Knowlsey School 4 Health.

You may remember that in Autumn we achieved the Bronze Award from the Knowsley Schools 4 Health award scheme. Since then we have been busy continuing the good work and we are pleased to announce that we have been rewarded by receiving not only the Silver Award but also the Gold Award!

This achievement is even more impressive when you consider that Knowsley Schools 4 Health state that ‘a typical school working at a good pace should aim to achieve the Gold award by the end of year 3 of participation’.

The Gold Award is awarded to ‘schools that have demonstrated on-going commitment to promoting healthy eating and physical activity via targeted interventions and can show evidence of both positive behaviour changes and sustainable cultural changes within the school community’.

Well done to everyone! These achievements could not have happened without the hard work and dedication of all staff in school. However, a special mention is needed for our PSHE Coordinator Mrs Cook and our PE Coordinator Mr Sanders as they have guided and driven the school towards these awards.
