Educate Awards 2017 WINNER!
There can be many issues and problems that come through my door on a daily basis and the morning of Monday 20th November was no different ... this time the problem was, where to put our Educate Award 2017 in a trophy cabinet already full!?!?!
In case you weren't aware ... our school was recognised for the amazing work we do for our children with regards PE & Sport - the honour of achieving the Primary Award for Outstanding Commitment to PE & Sport at the Educate Awards 2017.
This is recognition of the vision and reality that Mr Sanders, our PE & School Sports Leader, has created and built upon for our school's sports offer and also recognition of the work that the whole team of staff have been part of. Staff have offered clubs, taken the children to festivals or tournaments, ensured their PE lessons go ahead and are top quality, got stuck in when even the weather has been against us (National Sports Week last year - The weather was awful but instead of it stopping things teachers made the choice to find ways of keeping activities going indoors).
I was very very proud of the achievement and hope you will join me in congratulating all our staff who have contributed to this fantastic achievement!
