New beginnings!

Welcome to the start of a new school term. Just to let you know that your children are settling in well and getting used to our Year 1 routines. When your child is given a reading book, please listen to them read on a regular basis and comment in and sign their reading record booklets,  as reading is fundamental to all we do.

In addition, the children will bring home a library book which can be read to them as a story and shared together. This can be recorded in their home communication book as well as any messages you might want to pass on to me. If tere is an important message, please ask your child to pass the communication book to me.

Please make sure that your child has their own labelled water bottle in school, filled with water daily. Also, can you please make sure that their clothes, coats and PE kits have their names on them. We have indoor PE on a Wednesday afternoon, whereby they will need shorts, a T- shirt and indoor pumps. Outdoor PE is on a Friday, where they will need a tracksuit (jogging bottoms and jacket) a T- shirt and trainers (they can be brought in just for that day if they need them at home).

I will be regularly writing a blog and sometimes this will include photos of your children carrying out various activities (but only if you have given permission for your child to appear on the website).
