Plantation Primary School'Love to learn, aspire to achieve'
Wed 12th October - Y6 Halewood Football League match report - written by Mr Sanders
Date: 13th Oct 2016 @ 9:30am
The boys turned up to the second round of fixtures full of confidence after their fantastic start previously. Stand in 'gaffer' Mr Sanders was briefed by Mr McGorian about the team line ups prior to the fixtures, and the boys didn't disappoint in the first match, as they breezed to a 6-0 win.
However, the second fixture was a closer affair, with Plantation conceding their first goal of the tournament after a wonderful volley from a corner. This set back didn't deter the boys though, as they continued to play one touch football and eventually ran out 3-1 winners thanks to some clean strikes from Joe S.
The final game saw some complacency slip into the lads' performances, but fortunately Yew Tree didn't make the lads pay. They secured another victory and clean sheet to finish the second round of fixtures with maximum points.
Thanks to Mr Stratulis for accompanying the boys to the tournament with Mr Sanders.
