This week, we have been practicing the songs for our Easter performance! We have also set up an investigation into how water is transported within plants. We added blue food colouring to water and then placed kitchen roll and celery sticks into the water. We could see staright away that the water was moving up the kitchen roll. Mr Sanders then asked us to make a prediction about what would happen if he put a daffodil in the water. We thought that the blue water would move up the stem and change the colour of the petals. Some of us thought that the petals would turn blue, whilst others thought that they would turn green. We will find out on Monday!
