Upper 6 Alton Towers

Date: 17th Oct 2016 @ 7:16pm

Last week, we all enjoyed a brilliant trip to Alton Towers. After weeks and weeks of waiting – the day finally arrived and a brilliant time was had by all. There was singing on the coach (a little bit too much, too early for some of us teachers) and the park itself was brilliant.  All groups managed to get on all the rides they wanted - we were lucky enough to beat the queues on almost all the rides available – and we even managed to add a giant banana and toy dog to our travelling party!

All children were a credit to the school on the trip, and we have seen a number of brilliant photos of the day, too!

Well done to our Stars of the Week; Kerrie and Cameron. Unfortunately they could not get their certificates last week (they were too busy at Alton Towers) but the awards were well deserved for a great week in school.

We also started planning our own version of our class read ‘The Unforgotten Coat’ during the week. The story has proved hugely popular in class and, judging by our planning session, our versions will prove to be just as gripping! I can’t wait to read the finished, edited versions after next week’s Big Write.

Below are some pictures from our trip, as well as from our Times Tables activities in Maths, and Unforgotten Coat drama and planning activities.
