Upper 4 Science Experiment
Date: 9th Nov 2017 @ 1:55pm
Our topic last half term in Science was Eating and Digestion, and this week we carried out an experiment based on stomach acid and how quickly it dissolves food. We planned our experiment as a class, and each table worked in pairs with a zip lock bag and different liquids. We used Pepsi, Vinegar, Lime Juice, Orange Juice and water, and poured 100ml of each liquid into different bags, with 2 crackers. We predicted what we thought the results would be, and we observed the results over half an hour, three hours, 20 hours and 24 hours. The results came back that the Pepsi dissolved food the quickest; 18 of our 31 children predicted this result correctly!
