Upper 4 go for a hat-trick!

Date: 7th Oct 2016 @ 4:30pm

This week was an incredible week in upper 4. Firstly, we are the UKS2 attendance winners for a THIRD time running. Miss. Williams was so happy today when this was announced.

This week in maths we had lots of fun learning about different methods for adding and subtracting mentally. Lucy O`s favourite technique was partitioning because it was she found it easier and more fun. Lily preferred the counting up method because she thought it was fun using a number line and easier to picture it.

In English this week we have been reading, analysing and writing poetry. The poems we created included many features such as rhyme, alliteration and imagery. Our poems all had a harvest theme. We used a ‘steps to success’ with green challenges, amber and red. We all enjoyed it and produced some fantastic work, which has been displayed on the wall in class.

Also, this week we have enjoyed singing lots of songs with Mr. Palmer for our harvest performance, which is in a couple of weeks. Our favourite songs are are ‘Harvest rock and roll’ and ‘Harvest Samba’.

Lastly, we are really looking forward to going to Halewood library on Thursday!
