Oprah Winfrey for Black History Month Upper 4 and Upper 5

Date: 13th Oct 2017 @ 2:56pm

As October is Black History Month, Year 5 chose to research Oprah Winfrey as our inspirational person, as she has achieved a lot during her lifetime. Oprah is mainly famous for her talk show, however she is also North America's first multi-billionaire black person. In 2013 she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama.

Year 5 researched Oprah first of all, collecting facts and key words that link to her. They then designed their own 'word clouds' highlighting the key information that they gathered about Oprah. We enjoyed showcasing our work to the rest of the school and being able to view the work of other year groups. See below for pictures!
