Number day in Reception!

We had so much fun today supporting the NSPCC's Number Day. Thank you for all of your kind donations. All the children looked fantastic in their number outfits! This morning we went on a number hunt to see what numbers we could find. As we have been learning all about Chinese New Year, we learnt to count to 10 in Mandarin. I was so impressed with how well the children picked this up! We've sang lots of number songs throughout the day and even opened our very own snack shop where the children had to pay for their snack. Finally, we played a game of 'Guess the number'. This is a great game to play where you place a numbered post-it on someone's head. The children have to give clues. We had some great clues this afternoon such as, "It's a 2-digit number", "It's one more than 12", "It's in the 2's" and "It's less than 10". Try this game at home!
