Mexican Fiesta Day in Year 5
Date: 8th Apr 2018 @ 7:23pm
On Thursday 29th March Year 5 had a Mexican Fiesta Day to celebrate the end of our 'Comparing People and Places' topic in Creative Curriculum, as one of the countries we studied was Mexico. The children took part in lots of different Mexican themed activities on the day, including Mexican flag face paints, trying different Mexican foods, Mexican green-screening and Mexican dancing. The children made Mexican maracas, and learnt about the Day of the Dead and 'Cinco de Mayo'. We also had a Mexican pinata, with a bag of sweets for the main prize! The children really enjoyed the day, particularly the pinata! See below for different photos of the day.
