NOTICE OF BUILDING WORK AND SCHOOL REDEVELOPMENT 2023-2024

Please be advised that from July 2023 to September 2024 our school is undertaking significant building work and refurbishment.

ALL SCHOOL VISITORS MUST report to Reception and ensure their identification issued at the School Office is worn at all times.

ALL CONTRACTORS MUST ensure they are signed in at their Site Office and compound, known to the Site Manager, and the relevant identification worn at all times.

PARENTS & CARERS MUST ensure children are supervised at all times when in their care and ensure they do not stray from sight.

Frank Cottrell Boyce visits Plantation

Year 6 have been studying The Unforgotton Coat in Literacy and the book's author, Frank Cottrell Boyce agreed to visit Plantation to explore some of the work that we have been doing around the text.

A small group of children enjoyed taking part in a Q and A session and we had the privilege of learning a little more about his life and his inspirations for writing. Following this, Frank read a chapter from one of his newer books, the award winning, The Astounding Broccoli Boy.

We all had a fantastic afternoon and we owe a huge thank you to such a talented author, who took time from his very busy schedule to visit the ‘Mighty Mighty Plantation.’
