Don't judge a book by it's cover.

Now that SATs are finished, we have started a new reading project in class upper 8.

I was finding that children were becoming a little predictable in the books that they were selecting to read; sticking with authors and series that they were familiar or comfortable with (something that I am guilty of when buying my own books).

We decided to wrap all of our new fiction loans from Knowsley Library Service up, so that the titles, authors and front covers were hidden. The children then had to choose a book based on the few words that I had written on the front.
