Farm to Fork Trail at Tesco Woolton

Date: 31st Mar 2016 @ 7:46pm

This morning, we visited the Tesco store in Woolton for an Easter Farm to Fork trail. We visited the bakery and learnt all about the Easter tradition of hot cross buns. After finding out what's needed to bake hot cross buns, and tasting some ingredients, we then had the chance to bake our very own! Yum! Whilst they were baking in the oven, we got to explore the store. We had a very quick look in the freezers (brrr!) and stepped into the chillers to see what food and drinks we could spot. Then we marched onto the shop floor to search for the ingredients we'd used to make our hot cross buns. We then went back into the training room to learn all about different Easter traditions and asked the store manager some questions. Just as we were about to leave, the fire alarm did go off so we followed the stores procedures and lined up in the car park really sensibly. Luckily it was just some burnt toast in the cafe and not our hot cross buns! surprise We had a fantastic, fun-filled morning. Thank you to Pam and Laura for making it an experience to remember for all children (and adults).

Take a look at the pictures below to see all of the fun. smiley
